Crochet Even Moss Mock Cable Baby Blanket

We have a very simple, yet very beautiful crochet baby blanket pattern to share today! This beauty uses a simple stitch combination that delivers a relaxing experience as you watch it grow.

Use Bernat Softee Cotton in Feathered Gray and you have a beautiful and giftable baby blanket for your next baby shower. We can’t recommend this yarn enough (and it’s all restocked on Yarnspirations.com yay!)

We recommend stocking up now, as it sells out quickly. We often use this yarn and have made many blankets and other projects with it. At the end of this post, I’ll link a list of every blanket and other project we have made in case you want to browse for more ideas.

Let’s get straight to the pattern!

For the remainder of the blanket work 2 rows of single crochet and 2 rows of even moss stitch until you have 30  inches in height or a square blanket. End with 2 rows of SC.

Border

After the last row of SC is complete, CH 1 and turn. Work SC into each SC and 3 SC into each corner. Work 2 SC at the end of every other row on the sides of the throw. Join with a SL ST to the starting SC at the end of the round. Cut and weave in all the ends.

If you’d like to make this as a throw, with a slight variation to the width of the textured rows, try our pattern Even Moss Mock Cable Throw in Forever Fleece.
