Last month, we gathered fall children’s sweater patterns, and the Hooded Hexi Pullover Pattern from Yarnspirations caught my eye. Especially when I realized it was made with Bernat Softee Cotton.

I decided to make it for baby Nora! I left off the hood portion and just finished it as a tunic. It turned out so cute on her!

Now she is a wiggly active 2 and a half year old and it was hard to get a photo. I was on the move! I did better with a video. If you want a better idea of how the sweater fits, watch the short reel I’m attaching below:
All you need to do is make two hexagon-shaped pieces and join them together. The pattern instructions are very clear, and the sizing was spot on. Nora is a tall 3-year-old and wears size 5 clothing. So I made her the size 5. I also did not add any length to the sleeves or bottom. I just wanted it to be a simple pullover.

The entire time I crocheted this project, I was amazed at how clever it is to turn two hexagons into a sweater. It definitely is fun and relaxing. I have another one I need to make for my other granddaughter, Kate!
I used Bernat Softee Cotton in the colors Cotton (cream), Feathered Gray, and Pale Periwinkle. It is a fabulous yarn for kids. It’s a cotton blend and washes up amazingly.

If you missed the list we shared of kids’ sweaters for fall, I’ll share it again below. Maybe something will inspire you!
