Round 1: Work SC into each stitch around, working 3 SC into each corner stitch. Join with a Slip Stitch at the end of the round, chain 1 and turn. 

Round 2: Work 1 HDC (half double crochet). *Skip the next stitch. Work 1 HDC, then, around the post of that HDC you just made, HDC3TOG  (yarn over, (YO) pull up a loop, YO again, pull up a loop, YO again, pull up a loop, YO and pull through all loops on your hook. There should be seven.) Repeat from * around. 

To finish the round, do a puff edge stitch around the first HDC stitch you started with then slip stitch to the top of that HDC and weave in the ends.
