Crochet Toasty Trebles Infinity Scarf

Yellow scarf, blue scarf, gray scarf, blue skein of yarn

These Toasty Trebles Infinity Scarves are super easy to make and would be perfect for some cozy holiday gifts!

These scarves are made with Patons Canadiana, which is a super soft acrylic yarn that comes in several beautiful shades. The texture is only one side of the scarf, so they are nice and cozy without being too heavy.

three scarfs; gray, blue, yellow

I used almost exactly 2 skeins of Patons Canadiana to make one scarf, so if you’re planning to make one in a bigger size than is in the pattern, then you’ll definitely want to have a third skein on hand.

Post Update: My mom made a baby blanket using this same stitch! It’s called the Grandma Cuddles Baby Blanket. It turned out so cute!

Pattern

Chain 24 (or any even number).

Row 1: Starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, work 1 SC in each chain. CH 1 and turn.

Row 2: Work 1 SC into the first stitch. *Work 1 TC in the next stitch, then work 1 SC in the next stitch. Repeat from * across the row. CH 1 and turn.

Row 3: Work 1 SC in each stitch across the row. CH 1 and turn.

Row 4: Work 1 SC in each of the first 2 stitches. *Work 1 TC in the next stitch, then work 1 SC in the next stitch. Repeat from * across the row until there are 2 stitches left. Work 1 SC in each of the last 2 stitches. CH 1 and turn.

Row 5: Work 1 SC in each stitch across the row. CH 1 and turn.

Repeat rows 2 through 5 until your scarf measures about 50 to 52 inches or your desired length. (Just make sure you have enough yarn left to combine the ends of the scarf.) Try to end your scarf with rows 4 and 5 so that when you combine the two ends, the trebles will continue to be offset.

When you reach the end of your scarf, you can either tie off and leave yourself a long tail that you can use to sew the two ends together with a tapestry needle, or you can CH 1 and then slip stitch the two ends together, inserting your hook through both ends of the scarf as you go.

Whichever way you choose, you’ll just want to make sure that the textured sides of your scarf are facing each other when you combine the two ends so that your seam will be on the inside of your scarf.

When finished, tie off and weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
