Even Mixed Loop Stitch

CHAIN

Even number

ROW 1

Starting in the 3rd chain from the hook, work 1 HDC. 1 HDC in each chain across the row. CH 2 and turn. (Even number of stitches made.)

ROW 2

Starting in the 1st stitch of the row, *work 1 front bottom loop HDC, then work 1 back loop HDC in the next stitch. Repeat from * to end of row. The last stitch of the row will be a back loop HDC worked into the last stitch. (The turning chain does not count as a stitch.) CH 2 and turn.
