To Make a Swatch:

CHAIN

Even number

ROW 1

Starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, work 1 SC. SC into each chain across the row. CH 1 and turn.

ROWS 2 – 3

Starting in the first stitch, work 1 SC. SC into each stitch across the row. CH 1 and turn.

ROW 4

Starting in the first stitch, *work 1 SC. Work 1 Treble Crochet (TC) into the next stitch. Repeat from * across the row ending with 1 SC into the last stitch. CH 1 and turn.

ROWS 5 – 7

Starting in the first stitch, work 1 SC. SC into each stitch across the row. CH 1 and turn.

REPEAT ROWS 4 – 7
