Crochet Colorful Triangles Baby Blanket

Crochet Blanket

Hello there! We have a new colorful triangles blanket to add to our triangle collection of blankets!

This one has the triangles alternating in between instead of stacked on top of each other.

Crochet Blanket

This is the Velvet Triangles pattern that we love so much too! We have made the triangles as snowy mountains as well.

There are so many possibilities with this design. Let me share just one more as well with the triangles smaller and spread out a bit more.

As you can tell we absolutely love to work with shapes in crochet.

If you want even more ideas, you can visit our menu heading shapes and you can see all the designs we have using all sorts of different shapes.

Pattern

To make the blanket a larger size, the pattern repeat is any number times 10 plus 3.

Chain 113

ROW 1: With Marshmallow, begin in the third chain from the hook with 1 HDC, pull through with Red Wagon on last step of the HDC stitch. *Work HDC in Red Wagon in each of the next 9 sts while bringing Marshmallow along the row and working the HDC’s over the carried yarn. On the last step of the 9th HDC, pull through with Marshmallow. Work 1 HDC in Marshmallow, crocheting over the Red Wagon and bringing it along the row, changing back to Red Wagon on the last step of the stitch. Repeat from * across the row. BORDER

Secure last stitch with a marker while you weave in all the ends.

ROUND 1: Don’t turn after last stitch, CH 2 and place a SC in the corner. Work 2 SC at the end of every other row, [SC, CH 2, SC] in each corner, and SC into each stitch on the top and bottom of the blanket. Do not join or turn at the end of the round.

ROUND 2: Work [SC, CH 2, SC] around the chain 2 space of each corner. Work 1 SC into each SC. Do not join or turn at the end of the round.

ROUND 3: Work [DC, CH 2, DC] around the chain 2 space of each corner. Work 1 DC into each SC. Do not join or turn at the end of the round.

ROUND 4: Work [DC, CH 2, DC] around the chain 2 space of each corner. Work alternating FPDC and BPDC around each DC. Do not join or turn.

ROUND 5 -7: Repeat round 4. (Tip, make sure you are working either FPDC or BPDC around the DC’s that make the corner stitches to maintain the alternating pattern. Also work a FPDC around FPDC of the previous row, and BPDC around BPDC. This will form the ribbed look.)

ROUND 8: Work SC into each DC and [SC, CH 1, SC] in corners. SL ST to first SC and tie off and weave in the end.
