Post Update:

The yarn we used to make this blanket is no longer available. However Red Heart Super Saver Brushed is a very close substitute with colors similar to choose from. We recommend the colors Cream and Dusty Pink

Chain 130 in Buff. (If you’d like to make your blanket bigger or smaller, chain any number.)

ROW 1: Starting in the 3rd chain from the hook, work 1 Extended SC in each chain. CH 2 and turn.

ROW 2: Work 1 Extended SC in each stitch across the row. CH 2 and turn.

Repeat row 2 for the remainder of the blanket.

To change colors: On your last stitch in the row, insert your hook into the stitch, YO and pull through stitch. There should be two loops on your hook. This is where you lay the new color over your hook and pull through both loops to finish the stitch with your new color. Make sure to leave at least a 6 to 9-inch tail when you cut the previous color.

Here’s how I did my color changes: 24 rows of Ivory, 2 rows of Buff, 2 rows of Ivory, 2 rows of Buff, 2 rows of Ivory, 2 rows of Buff, 2 rows of Ivory, 2 rows of Buff, 38 rows of Ivory, 49 rows of Buff

Weave in all ends with your tapestry needle. No border for this blanket! If you’d like to add a border, see our border patterns here.
