Hi there! I have a wonderful opportunity to let you know about to help support the amazing organization Warm-Up America.
Warm-Up America is a national nonprofit that since 1991 has provided hand-knitted and crocheted blankets, clothing and accessories made by volunteers across the country and donated to people in need. They do wonderful work collecting handmade items and getting them to someone in need.
Yarnspirations, the maker of Red Heart, Bernat, and many of my favorite brands, is offering up to a $5,000.00 donation on behalf of all of us crocheters, and all we need to do is download a free pattern from their site.
So easy! And, I’m thrilled I’ve been collecting some of my favorite patterns, (that will be linked below), to easily browse and decide which to donate. However, I might just download them all and put them in a saved file on my computer for later. Any free pattern on their site counts toward the $5,000.00
Here’s the official info from the Yarnspirations website: You’ve stitched your part, now we’ll do ours! We’re inspired every day by the passion of crafters and the millions of ways they enrich their communities by giving back. This summer, we want to celebrate your generosity and spread that charitable impact even further. We’ll be supporting Warm Up America! Every pattern downloaded from June 18th to July 8th, 2024, will count towards the total amount that we will donate to Warm Up America.
You can check the progress of the donation HERE. (so far it’s barely at 1k, but I’m betting all of us Daisy Farm Crafters can get them to the 5k.)
So just to make sure to head to their site by July 8th and download any free pattern. They have so many to choose from! I’ll add over 100 in this post that you can easily look through.
