Crochet Daisy Gift Bag

Crochet Daisy Bag

Over Labor Day Weekend, my daughter Annie was invited to play in a Pro/Am golf tournament supporting the Epson Tour on the road to the LPGA.

My husband and I accompanied her and we all were so excited to golf with a Pro Golfer. On the plane ride over, I quickly made a gift bag for a sleeve of Golf Balls with the DFC logo and some other goodies.

Crochet Bag with Golf Balls

This was a fun opportunity for Annie to get a glimpse of what it’s like to play as a golf professional since she wants to be a player and ultimately be a golf instructor.

And the pro we were paired with was Kendra Dalton! She’s a former BYU golfer and Annie had played with her on the Cactus Tour here in Arizona.

She is absolutely delightful and was so fun to watch! For several holes, my husband and I just watched Annie and her swing away. They are soo good!

Anyway, I shared about it on Crochet Sister Chat and several people wanted the quick little pattern so I thought I’d share.

Crochet Daisy

I love how my daisy turned out too! So cute.

Materials

Bernat Softee Cotton

(but you can use any yarn you choose, make sure you check the label for the appropriate hook size.)

1 skein Golden. 1 Skein Cotton (cream)

Size G 4.0mm hook, tapestry needle, scissors

Pattern

Chain any number to 4 inches (or to any size you’d like)

Round 1: Begin in the second chain from the hook with SC. SC into each of the next chains to the end. In the last chain work 3 SC. Turn the chain to work on the underside of the chain. Work SC at the base of each stitch and around the bottom of the chain. When you return to the starting SC, work 2 SC into that same space.

Round 2: Do not join, continue working 1 SC into the back loop of each SC around.

Repeat round 2 until you have the height you need.

Last round: Work 1 DC into the back loop of each SC stitch around. Join with a SL ST to the first DC of the round. Tie off.

Weave in the ends and turn the bag inside out. (The ridges are on the outside.)

Tie

Make a chain long enough to weave through the DC and have extra for tying. Tie knots on either end of the chain to secure. Attach a safety pin to one end of the chain and weave it through the DC stitches.

Daisy Flower
