Hello! Tiffany here with a color sampler blanket using Bernat Bundle Up, a new yarn from *Yarnspirations. I loved working with this yarn. It felt like crocheting with soft flannel.
It’s 100% polyester and washable and for this project, I didn’t need to block the blanket when I was finished.
Bundle Up is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I previously made the Star Baby Blanket for baby Jack a few months ago with this yarn and I’d like to experiment with making him a sweater with it as well.
The above photo is to show you how much leftover I had of each color in the large 8.8 oz skein size. Each skein has 478 yards. I did use 2 full large skeins of the Marshmallow (off white) color. However, on the Yarnspirations website, they sell Bundle up in the small 4.9 oz ball size only and in slightly different colors for the pink, mint and grey. The Marshmallow and Duckling are available in the smaller size. The larger sizes in the Ballet Slipper, Icy Aqua and Misty Gray are available at Michael’s or Joann Craft Stores.

Pattern
Tip: change colors at the end of rows only and carry yarn up the side through the rows of color. In my balls of yarn, I would find ends tied together, I would cut and only change color on the side of the blanket. Weaving in the ends with this type of yarn wasn’t as easy to disguise as regular yarn so I did not do any yarn changes in the middle of the blanket.
Chain 120 with Marshmallow.
Row 1: Begin in the 2nd chain from the hook with 1 eSC. eSC into each chain across the row, CH 1 and turn. (119)
Rows 2 – 4: Work 1 eSC into each stitch across the row, CH 1 and turn. Add Ballet Slipper at the end of row 4, do not cut Marshmallow, carry it up the side. (119)
Rows 5 – 6: Work 1 yoSLSP into each stitch across the row, CH 1 and turn. Work HDC as last stitch of row 6 to pull through with Marshmallow to change color. Do not cut Ballet Slipper.
Rows 7 – 8: Work 1 SC into each stitch across the row, CH 1 and turn. Add Ballet Slipper at the end of row 8.
Rows 9 – 22: Repeat rows 5 – 6 and 7-8 until there are 5 stripes of Ballet Slipper.
Rows 23 – 26: Repeat rows 2 – 4.
Repeat rows 5 through 26 for the rest of the blanket making color changes as follows: Icy Aqua, Duckling, Misty Gray, Ballet Slippers, Icy Aqua, Duckling. End the blanket with 4 rows of eSC in Marshmallow.
Tip: To sum up, it’s 4 rows of eSC, 2 rows of yoSLST in a color, 2 rows SC, repeated until 5 stripes of color. 4 rows of eSC in Marshmallow separates each section of color. End the blanket with 4 rows of eSC in Marshmallow.
Border
Round 1: Work one round of SC beginning in any corner. Pull up a loop and ch 1. SC in each stitch and at the end of each row as evenly as possible. Work SC, CH 1, SC, into each corner. Slip stitch to the starting SC. Ch 1 and turn.
Rounds 2 through 5: Work SC in the front loop of each SC of the row below. Work 3 SC in the front loop of the ch 1 in each corner. Join with sl st to the first SC of each round, ch 1 and turn.
Tie off and weave in all ends.
