Merry Christmas 2025!

Hello there, dear crochet friends! I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to each one of you. If you’ve been following since last year, you’ll know I wanted to start a little Christmas tradition in making a special blanket that I will try to take a picture with my grandbabies.

This year’s Christmas Plaid Blanket couldn’t snuggle all my grandchildren together at once, as we are not able to be in the same place this year. Here is a photo reflection from last year of what I’m going to try and accomplish with the Christmas Ribbed V-Stitch Blanket

This year, we travelled to Colorado for Christmas to be with my daughter Hannah and her two kids, James and Nora. So, before I left, I had Jack and Kate come over to my house and get a photo taken with the Christmas Plaid Blanket for 2025:

Jack and Gram Gram

We scored one good photo of Jack! And a fun one with Kate and Jack excited to always let us know that he is 5 now!

I never could get the photo of just the two of them with the blanket, without me in it. So onward to bringing the blanket with me to Colorado, and for this photo shoot, we laid it out on the floor while the kids played with toys.

Here’s James:

And here is Nora:

Mission accomplished! That was good enough to make the Christmas memory, document it, and file it away for when these kids are teens, and we can share the photos at the Christmas party in 2036 lol!

I’m looking forward to having a whole collection of Christmas blankets as well. I’m hoping, as always, that it will be a little piece of me that travels with them and my kids throughout their lives, even if it gets boxed up and stored with the Christmas decor.

Thank you, as always, for being here with us and sharing in our crochet joy! I truly love this craft and the purpose it brings into my life. As Hannah and I have been together these past few days, we’ve been asking ourselves what we would have done if we hadn’t been crocheting and we couldn’t think of anything better.

Crochet is the perfect pastime for us to practice. We can transport it anywhere; it lives in a tote, bag, or basket when we need to put it down, and we can pick right back up where we left off. We can relax on a couch to work on it, or a table if we want, in our laps while travelling in the car..you get the gest.

We decided it must be in our DNA!

I’m just so grateful I decided to write down and document on this website what we were making and share it with you all. It makes it ten times more fun!

We will have one more post at the end of the year, our 2025 Wrapped! And then, we will be off and running for 2026! So many new yarns to try, we have pattern ideas bubbling and are talking about vintage trends. I love that crochet will still be around and continues to make a comeback, attracting younger generations.

Sending you all my crochet love,

XO, Tiffany
