A little over a month ago, the very first Daisy Farm Crafts Retreat took place at the beautiful Rancho de los Caballeros Resort and Spa in Wickenburg, Arizona.
It’s hard to put into words just how much this experience meant to me and my wonderful family who help me run the “daisy farm.” I met the most incredible people from all across the United States—and even one lovely guest from Canada!
These amazing individuals, all united by a love of crochet, came together to connect, create, and form lasting friendships. The weekend was filled with so many special moments. In fact, just a few days after the retreat, my daughter Annie met up with one of the attendees for a round of golf!
We had guests who had never heard of Daisy Farm Crafts before—they stumbled across the retreat post and signed up on a whim. And we had others who have followed us from the beginning, naming off their favorite DFC patterns. Some knew me and my sister Cyndi from Crochet Sister Chat. One sweet guest even walked in saying, “Where’s Sugar Joye? I need to see Sugar Joye!” You all made us feel like celebrities.
The entire weekend was full of joy, incredible food, and the best company we could ask for.
Here are some highlights from the trip!
The first dinner set the tone for the whole retreat. We all climbed aboard a hayride pulled by a tractor and rode out to a campground for dinner. We enjoyed delicious BBQ brisket and all the fixings as we got to know each other at picnic tables under the stars. The night ended with a thrilling bullwhip demonstration—including one whip that was set on fire!
All of the activities offered at the resort were so fun for everyone.
In addition to stitching away in the cozy conference room, guests could enjoy guided experiences like horseback riding, skeet shooting, golf, archery, and axe/knife throwing. Some guests even played pickleball throughout the day! Whether adventurous or more relaxed, everyone found their happy place.
Crocheters of all skill levels came together, helping each other and sharing their beautiful works in progress. I’m still in awe of their talent!
For our second dinner we gathered on the lawn for a lovely outdoor dinner under perfect Arizona skies. We gathered for a photo and shared more laughs and conversations as the sun set.
The third day felt like déjà vu in the best way. More crochet, more activities, and more bonding. Guests came and went from the conference room, always with a buddy in tow.
My heart is still so full of gratitude for every single person who came. You made the very first Daisy Farm Crafts Retreat an unforgettable experience. Thank you for your kindness, your enthusiasm, and for sharing your love of crochet with us.
Thank you to Rancho de Los Caballeros for your hospitality. The resort was stunning, and the staff made everything run so smoothly. A few strong cowboys even helped carry in all of our swag bags—and there were a lot!
We have partnered with Yarnspirations for several years and are Yarnspirations Stitch Ambassadors. They have always been so generous in sending yarn our way to try, so when I asked for yarn for the retreat, a giant box of Red Heart Flower Power showed up in no time. Thank you, Yarnspirations, for being great partners!
Another huge thank you to crochet.com for providing the amazing swag bags, which included the bag itself, the cutest crochet hooks, and beautiful yarn. These thoughtful gifts made the retreat feel even more special.
Thank you to Sherry Leybovich, our event planner, who took care of every travel arrangement, meal plan, and entertainment and activity at the ranch, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She is a dream to work with.

And last but never least are my sisters, my daughters, and my daughter-in-law. I knew I couldn’t possibly host a retreat without them being there with me by my side. They have always encouraged me from the very start of Daisy Farm Crafts, and they are who I’ve mostly crocheted for. I’ve made blankets and sweaters for nieces, nephews, graduations, weddings, and blessings, among other occasions. Most every model here on the website is either my daughters, grandbabies, nieces, nephews, or sisters.
Thank you, family, for always supporting me and encouraging me! I love you all so very much!

Now for the question I was asked the most, will we be hosting another retreat? All I can say is that we are considering it. We don’t have a date or a location to announce. The best way to know if we will be is to subscribe to our newsletter.
If we do host another, we will announce it here on the website first and then on our social media channels. This retreat sold out in 24 hours.
When we publish a new post, you receive a notification in an email. That will be the best way to ensure you receive the announcement of another retreat.
Thank you again for all who attended! And thank you for the millions of crochet friends we have all around the world who come to our website for crochet inspiration. I love you all so much!
XOXO, Tiffany
That’s a wrap:)
Thank you for coming!!
